Mark is a Florida native. He graduated from Florida State University School with a concentration on web design. After high school he attended Fairmont State University where he majored in Graphics in Technology with a focus on Web Design.
After college, he became a Multimedia Specialist for West Virginia University (WVU) and created interactive educational applications for online courses using Articulate Storyline. He has worked on courses for the West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland departments of education. During his time at WVU, he worked with the Chinese Department of Agriculture to train their instructional and interactive designers for a week in Beijing.
In 2016, he joined the University of Central Florida as a Senior Web Designer in the Division of Teaching & College of Undergraduate Studies. In this position he transitioned all the units from static sites to WordPress. In 2019, he moved to the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs as a Web Application Developer. In this role, he worked with faculty and university leadership in promoting the academic enterprise that makes up UCF.
In 2021, he decided to share his WordPress skills with others by conducting one-on-one tutoring for small businesses and entrepreneurs. He has been a part of the launch or improvements of several websites in all industries across the web. His coaching has also helped 100’s businesses improve their design, SEO, content accessibility and helped them carve their niche in an increasingly digital market.
In 2023, Mark was promoted to the Executive & Internal Communications team at UCF. He works with the Office of the President and the Office of the Provost on improving internal communication and messages from leadership. One of his biggest achievements so far has been improving the workflow of UCFs email marketing system.
